Voro never converts data behind your back. When an output and an input are different kinds, you place Convert between them and choose how the change happens. That keeps every conversion visible in the graph and every cost yours to see.

The methods

a row	a row of the same types	Graph row to seat. Moves a row across the graph without changing it.
a three-dimensional tensor	a three-dimensional tensor	Tensor conform. Dtype chooses f32, f16 or u8; Layout chooses among hw, chw, hwc, nchw and nhwc; Fit is nearest-centre, letterbox or stretch.
a one-dimensional float tensor	a control row	Tensor to control row. Brings a vector back to the control side.

Place it

Place Convert, wire the source into it, and pick the input class, output class and method on the node. The controls of the chosen method appear with it. Wire the output onward.
