Latent Seed

Example Built with Kernel FX Ships with Voro as an example. It may change between versions.

Latent Seed makes the numerical input for a compatible image generator. The Procedural preset creates a repeatable latent from an integer seed. From Input samples an image and standardizes those values into the same 512-component form.

Place Latent Seed under Generate in the Image view. Choose Procedural, then change Seed to explore different inputs for a generator.

Connect out to Latent Compose to combine seeds, or Latent Transform to shape one. A generator must be configured to accept the selected latent profile.

  • Procedural has no inputs.
  • From Input adds source for an incoming image.
  • out carries the latent as a one-row image with 512 values in its red channel.

Changing Preset changes the input ports.

  • Preset selects Procedural or From Input.
  • Profile is StyleGAN2 Z with 512 components.
  • Seed selects a deterministic procedural result. The same value gives the same latent.

The output contains numbers for a model, so it is not a finished picture. From Input samples and normalizes image values; it does not reconstruct that image in the generator’s latent space. The receiving generator decides what image those numbers produce.
