Upscale

Upscale uses an image model to produce a larger picture. The supplied Real-ESRGAN configuration outputs four times the input width and four times its height.

Place Upscale under Effects in the Image view. Select the Real-ESRGAN model and its matching runner configuration. Connect the source to in and take the enlarged image from out.

Set the source size before tuning downstream effects. A 256 by 384 input becomes 1024 by 1536 with the supplied configuration.

  • in is the source picture.
  • out is the enlarged picture.

The loaded model configuration determines the output dimensions. The base port table below does not show the four-times size relationship.

  • ONNX Model selects the model file.
  • Runner Config selects its matching configuration. Reload Config applies configuration changes.
  • The supplied configuration adds a read-only Scale of 4.

The supplied configuration accepts input dimensions from 16 through 512 pixels on each axis. Resize larger sources before connecting them.

Check fine detail in the result. Super-resolution estimates detail from the input; text and small graphic patterns may change as they are enlarged.
