Latent Transform

Example Built with Kernel FX Ships with Voro as an example. It may change between versions.

Latent Transform changes a latent while keeping its profile and dimensions. It can standardize the input, adjust its range, or add a repeating pattern across its components.

Place Latent Transform under Generate in the Image view. Connect Latent Seed or Latent Compose to latent. Send out to a generator configured for StyleGAN2 Z with 512 components.

Begin with Gain at 1, Offset at 0 and Limit set to None. Change one control at a time while watching the generated image.

  • latent carries the incoming 512-component latent.
  • out carries the transformed latent in the same one-row image format.
  • Normalize standardizes the logical components before shaping.
  • Gain scales every value. Offset adds the same value to each.
  • Limit selects None, Soft or Hard. Limit Amount sets the magnitude for soft limiting or a hard clamp.
  • Component Mod adds triangular modulation across the components.
  • Mod Frequency sets its cycle count. Mod Phase shifts the pattern.

These controls change numerical model inputs. Gain is not image brightness, and Mod Phase is not an image translation. Judge them through the receiving generator’s output.

Inputs

  • latent image required
    1 x 512 x 4

Outputs

  • out image
    1 x 512 x 4
