Device In

Device In captures a Windows audio input and emits it as engine audio.

Place it at the start of a chain when the network should react to a microphone, line input, loopback device, or virtual input. Pick the device, then wire out into an analyzer, effect, recorder, or Device Out.

  • Inputs: none. Device In is a source.
  • Output 0: out emits stereo audio.
  • Device: input endpoint. Empty uses the system default.
  • Samplerate: menu control for common rates. The Windows shared-mode device format is the runtime authority.
  • Channels: 1 mirrors mono capture to stereo; 2 captures left and right.
  • Windows audio input only.
  • Output is stereo.
  • If signal is missing, check the Windows input device, the Device menu, mute state, and downstream routing.
