Filter

Filter shapes the tone of a signal by cutting or passing frequencies around a cutoff. It offers lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and notch responses with resonance, suitable for tone shaping and filter sweeps.

Insert it inline on any source. Wire audio into in and out onward. Pick a Mode, set Cutoff to the corner frequency, and add Resonance for emphasis at the cutoff. Drive Cutoff from a CHOP or control source for sweeps.

  • Input 0: in accepts mono or stereo PCM. It is required.
  • Output 0: out emits the same shape as the input.
  • Mode: filter response: lp lowpass, bp bandpass, hp highpass, or notch.
  • Cutoff: corner frequency in Hz, from 20 to 20000.
  • Resonance: emphasis at the cutoff. Higher values give a sharper, more vocal peak.
  • Drywet: balance between the dry input and the filtered signal.
  • The filter is stable under fast cutoff and resonance changes, so it sweeps cleanly.
  • Use lowpass to darken, highpass to thin, bandpass to isolate a band, and notch to remove one.
