Filter
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Filter shapes the tone of a signal by cutting or passing frequencies around a cutoff. It offers lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and notch responses with resonance, suitable for tone shaping and filter sweeps.
TouchDesigner Use
Section titled “TouchDesigner Use”Insert it inline on any source. Wire audio into in and out onward. Pick a Mode, set Cutoff to the corner frequency, and add Resonance for emphasis at the cutoff. Drive Cutoff from a CHOP or control source for sweeps.
Inputs And Outputs
Section titled “Inputs And Outputs”- Input 0:
inaccepts mono or stereo PCM. It is required. - Output 0:
outemits the same shape as the input.
Main Controls
Section titled “Main Controls”- Mode: filter response:
lplowpass, bpbandpass, hphighpass, ornotch. - Cutoff: corner frequency in Hz, from 20 to 20000.
- Resonance: emphasis at the cutoff. Higher values give a sharper, more vocal peak.
- Drywet: balance between the dry input and the filtered signal.
- The filter is stable under fast cutoff and resonance changes, so it sweeps cleanly.
- Use lowpass to darken, highpass to thin, bandpass to isolate a band, and notch to remove one.
