Looper

Looper is a loop pedal for Cito. It records a bar-aligned loop from incoming audio, then plays that loop back mixed on top of the live signal. It supports overdub layering, threshold-triggered auto-record, half-speed playback, and reverse.

Wire live audio into Input 0 and a timeline ring into Input 1 so loop length locks to bars and beats. Set Bars to the loop length you want, turn Record on, and the loop starts capturing at the next bar boundary. Turn Record off to drop into playback. Wire out toward an effect chain or Device Out, and use control for loop-phase-driven visuals.

  • Input 0: audio is the live signal. It accepts mono or stereo PCM and is required.
  • Input 1: timeline accepts a timeline ring and supplies BPM, bar position, and time signature for bar sync. It is required for bar-aligned behavior.
  • Output 0: out emits the input mixed with loop playback.
  • Output 1: control emits loop phase from 0 to 1 across the loop.
  • Record: arms and starts recording. Recording begins at the next bar edge while the timeline is playing. Turn it off to move into playback.
  • Overdub: when on, recording over an existing loop layers new audio on top instead of replacing it.
  • Clear: empties the loop and returns to an idle state.
  • Bars: loop length in bars, from 1 to 16.
  • Inputgain: level of the live input into the mix and into the recording.
  • Loopgain: playback level of the recorded loop.
  • Feedback: how much of the existing loop is kept when overdubbing. Lower values fade older layers as you add new ones.
  • Autorecord: starts recording at a bar edge only once the input rises above Threshold.
  • Threshold: input level that triggers auto-record.
  • Halfspeed: plays the loop back at half speed for an octave-down, double-length feel.
  • Reverse: plays the loop backward.
  • Loop length is derived from the timeline tempo and your Bar count, so loops stay in time with transport.
  • The output is an additive mix of live input and loop, like a hardware loop pedal. The live signal is always passed through.
  • Maximum loop length is 45 seconds. Long bar counts at slow tempos are capped to that.
  • If nothing records, check that the timeline input is wired and playing, that Record is on, and for auto-record that the signal crosses Threshold.
