Purpose

Mix combines up to four control signals into one. Each input has its own bipolar amount, and the Mode sets how they meet: summed, multiplied, min, max, averaged, crossfaded, selected, or gated. Morph drives the crossfade and select modes, Normalize keeps a sum in range, and Softlimit rounds off peaks instead of clipping them. It is a control-signal operator, not an audio mixer — for audio buses use the audio mixers.

Use

Wire control sources into a through d, set the per-input amounts, and pick a Mode. For modulation blending, crossfade with Morph swept by another control source fades between two modulation shapes; add with Normalize is the utility sum.

Inputs and outputs

• Input 0-3: a, b, c, d — the control signals to combine. All optional.
• Output 0: out — the combined signal.

Controls

• Amounta to Amountd — per-input gain, bipolar so an input can subtract.
• Morph — position for the crossfade and select modes.
• Softlimit — soft saturation on the output; higher values round harder.
• Mode — add, multiply, min, max, average, crossfade, select, or gate.
• Normalize — scales a summed result by the number of contributing inputs.

Notes

• multiply is the modulation-depth pattern: an envelope in a times an LFO in b gives an LFO that only appears while the envelope is open.
• select with Morph from a Macro selector switches cleanly between prepared modulation sources.
• Negative amounts invert an input, so add can also act as a difference.
