Trigger Watch
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Trigger Watch turns a signal into a cue. It watches one control lane, and each time the value crosses your threshold it sends a trigger event. Whatever can produce a control lane can now fire a cue: an audio analysis, an automation clip, a value pushed from the host.
Wire a control lane into control, set Threshold and Direction, and send obs into Arrangement Source’s trigger input to release a held section. It also works as an input to Transport In’s obs.
Inputs and outputs
Section titled “Inputs and outputs”- Input 0:
controlthe lane to watch. Required. - Output 0:
obstrigger events. One per crossing.
Controls
Section titled “Controls”- Threshold: the level to cross. Default 0.5.
- Direction:
rising, falling, orboth. - Armed: while off, crossings are ignored.
- Latch: fire once, then stay quiet until Reset.
- Reset: pulse to re-arm a latched watch.
- Statekind:
continuesends a GO.playsends a play. Arrangement Source treats both the same. - Sourceid: a number, 0 to 255, that tags the event. Default 7.
- A rising crossing is a sample below Threshold followed by one at or above it. A falling crossing is the reverse.
- The first sample after start never fires, since there is nothing to compare against.
- Without Latch, a value that hovers around the threshold can fire repeatedly. Smooth the lane first, or turn Latch on.
- Reveal channels:
fired,value,armed, andlatched.
